Numerous ways of doing Good
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: "O Muslim women, never belittle any gift you give your neighbour even if it is a hoof of a sheep".[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].


Commentary:
This Hadith enjoins that any gift presented sincerely by a neighbour should not be treated as humble, however ordinary it may be, because in spite of being of small worth it has a high value with Allah.

باب في بَيان كثرةِ طرق الخير
الثامن : عنه قال : قال رسولُ اللَّه صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم : « يا نِسَاء المُسْلِماتِ لاَ تَحْقِرنَّ جارَةٌ لِجارتِهَا ولَوْ فِرْسِنَ شاةٍ » متفقٌ عليه .قال الجوهري : الفِرْسِنُ مِنَ الْبعِيرِ : كالحافِرِ مِنَ الدَّابَّةِ ، قال : ورُبَّمَا اسْتُعِير في الشَّاةِ
