Obligation of Jihad
Sahl bin Hunaif (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who supplicates Allah sincerely for martyrdom, Allah will elevate him to the station of the martyrs, even if he dies on his bed."[Muslim].

باب فضل الجهاد
وعَنْ سهل بن حُنَيْفٍ رضي اللَّه عنهُ أنَّ رَسُول اللَّهِ صَلّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وسَلَّم قال : « مَنْ سأَلَ اللَّه تعالى الشَّهَادةَ بِصِدْقٍ بلَّغهُ منَازِلَ الشُّهَداءِ وإنْ ماتَ على فِراشِهِ » . رواه مسلم .
